About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Epicor Eclipse Technical Lead to oversee the design, development, and optimization of our Epicor Eclipse ERP environment. This role will serve as the technical authority for ERP solutions, driving integrations, customizations, and performance improvements while mentoring a team of developers and collaborating with business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Epicor Eclipse Expertise: 5+ years with Eclipse ERP (Solar, eTerm, UniBasic/Basic, Eclipse schema).
• Proficiency in ECL scripting, Solar UI workflows, pick programming, and report customization.
• Strong knowledge of UniVerse database administration and performance optimization.
• Experience with ERP integrations (EDI, REST/SOAP APIs, middleware like Boomi).
• Solid background in Linux OS, JBoss application servers, and SQL development.
• Data Analysis: Proficiency in SQL and Business Activity Queries (BAQ) to extract and analyze system data.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with distribution-specific concepts like Buy Lines, Procure Groups, and managed inventory services.
• 1+ years in a technical lead or managerial role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to mentor developers and enforce best practices.
• Project Management: Experience in leading functional discovery and process mapping for major system upgrades or new site rollouts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5–10 years in ERP systems, with significant experience in Epicor Eclipse.

Nice To Haves

• Epicor certifications or training.
• Experience in manufacturing, wholesale/distribution, or supply chain ERP implementations.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for ERP environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design and implementation of Epicor Eclipse customizations (ECL scripting, Solar UI, Extensibility Framework).
• Manage ERP integrations with external systems (EDI, APIs, CRM, WMS) using REST, XML, and middleware tools.
• Oversee data migrations, upgrades, and performance tuning for UniVerse database and Eclipse environments including data mapping, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and validation.
• Administer Eclipse infrastructure (Linux OS, JBoss servers, printer/phantom setup).
• Optimize the configuration of core modules such as Inventory & Warehouse Management, Purchasing, and Order Management to align with specific business workflows.
• Define and enforce coding standards, best practices, and development workflows.
• Collaborate with IT leadership and business units to align ERP enhancements with strategic goals.
• Provide technical troubleshooting, documentation, and end-user support.
• Mentor team members and manage project timelines using Agile methodologies.
