About The Position

The Applications Analyst III supervises and provides technical guidance to staff in the development of specifications for new or revised systems. This role requires full technical knowledge of applications analysis and includes supervisory duties such as instructing, assigning, directing, and checking the work of other Applications Analysts. The analyst assists in planning, organizing, and controlling section activities, and may collaborate with client management to identify complex business requirements and processes, as well as in application design, testing, and implementation across diverse development platforms, software, hardware, technologies, and tools. The position also involves coordinating activities with other IT sections (e.g., database, telecommunications, operations, technical support) and acting as an expert technical resource for development staff throughout all phases of the development and implementation process. The incumbent may assist in all levels of supervision, perform management functions in the absence of the Manager, and may act as a project leader.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Five years of solid, diverse work experience in IT
  • Epic Security certification and experience required
  • Should be proficient with Data Courier
  • Working knowledge of Epic’s Sherlock and Nova applications

  • Advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in planning, organizing and controlling the activities of the section.
  • May work with client management to identify and specify the complex business requirements and processes, and in the application design, testing and implementation process (e.g., diverse development platforms, software, hardware, technologies and tools, etc.).
  • Coordinates the activities of the section with other IT sections (e.g., database, telecommunications, operations, technical support, etc.).

  • Performs related duties as assigned or requested.
  • Timely processing of various Epic user provisioning requests
  • Participate in the activities of the Epic Users and Security / SER (Provider) Workgroup
  • Facilities Structure, Governance and /SER-related meeting
  • Perform timely processing of various Epic system access requests
  • Assist in special projects, such as application go-lives, upgrades, enhancements, etc. Help IT staff as necessary migrate data from the various environments within Epic using standard utilities
  • Collaborate with the various Epic teams to ensure system security and integrity
