About The Position

The Epic Revenue Cycle Manager is responsible for the overall management, direction, and coordination of the revenue cycle processes, including registration, scheduling, billing, collections, accounts receivable, and cash management. HIM and OnBase are also included. This role ensures that the organization's financial health is maintained by maximizing reimbursements, minimizing errors, and improving efficiency in all aspects of the revenue cycle. Enhances and maintains a properly functioning revenue cycle process through a cross department organizational structure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare IT management, with a focus on Revenue Cycle.
  • Strong understanding of Epic EHR functionality, particularly revenue cycle modules like Resolute Professional Billing, Cadence, Prelude and HIM/OnBase.
  • In-depth knowledge of registration, scheduling, medical billing, coding, claims processing, and healthcare financial operations.
  • Minimum of 1 Epic certification is required in Resolute, Prelude or Cadence modules

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Leads and mentors a team of Epic analysts and other staff, providing guidance on system configuration, issue resolution, and process improvements.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive short-term and long-term revenue cycle goals and objectives aligned with organizational strategies.
  • Oversee all aspects of the ambulatory revenue cycle process, including patient eligibility, billing, claims management, accounts receivable and collections.
  • Lead the billing team to ensure timely and accurate billing for services provided.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to revenue cycle and HIM performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant federal and state regulations, including HIPAA & ICD-10.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serves as a liaison between the organization's needs and Epic technical services staff, communicating with stakeholders on project status and issues.
  • Manage and develop a high-performing team of revenue cycle professionals.
  • Provide training and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Evaluate and implement new revenue cycle technologies to improve efficiency and accuracy.
