Department Information Technology Job Summary: Working closely with technical analysts and operational leaders/staff, this role is responsible for the design, development, and delivery of communication and education for users of Epic (the electronic health record (EHR) used at Denver Health). The Epic Instructional Designer creates and maintains documentation, curriculums, and e-learnings (blended learning, synchronous and asynchronous learning) and anticipates training challenges and opportunities for newly hired employees and existing staff. The role also tests and builds the Epic software training environments. They monitor training program effectiveness, review and evaluate work, prepare and deliver performance reports and propose solutions and interventions to improve user skills. They support the team goal to deliver elegant training solutions that are intuitive, empowering, efficient, sustainable, systems focused, and foundation based. This role mentors newer team members and works under minimal supervision.
