Epic Beaker Analyst
About The Position
The Epic Analyst II is responsible for configuring, optimizing, and supporting Epic applications with moderate independence. This role collaborates with clinical and operational stakeholders to assess business needs, implement system enhancements, and support training and troubleshooting efforts. Location: Please note this is a hybrid position with a set scheduled 3 days (Tues - Thurs) per month onsite in Springfield, IL. Travel expenses are covered per our company guidelines for non-local employees. We are happy to offer the flexibility of a hybrid position with some remote/ at home flexibility. Please note you must reside in one of our approved states in order to be considered: Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, and Wisconsin are the approved states.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in health informatics, Information Systems, Clinical Healthcare, or a related field is preferred.
- Epic Beaker Certification is highly preferred.
- Certification in one or more Epic modules (e.g., EpicCare Ambulatory, Willow, Orders, Epic Resolute, Epic Inpatient, Epic Ambulatory, OpTime, Radiant, Beaker, etc.) required within 1 year of hire.
- Three or more years’ experience in Information Technology including project management, advanced support management or other similar experience required.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical skills.
- Familiarity with Epic system design, configuration, and maintenance is preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Two years’ clinical experience and/or relevant system experience in EHR systems is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Configure, build, and maintain Epic applications to align with business needs.
- Responsible for system testing, issue resolution, and application troubleshooting.
- Optimize workflows to improve efficiency and user experience.
- Provide end-user support, training, and documentation.
- Perform system demonstrations and training sessions for staff.
- Partner with clinical and operational teams to assess system needs and enhancements.
- Work closely with IT, project managers, and leadership to ensure successful system implementations.
- Monitor system performance, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Participate in system upgrades, testing, and change management processes.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and Meaningful Use requirements.
- Generate and analyze reports to provide insights into system usage and performance.
- Contribute to Epic-related projects, ensuring timely delivery.
- Identify opportunities for workflow improvements and implement best practices.
