About The Position

Be responsible for supporting users of all clinical information systems during the implementation of projects and on an on-going basis in the production environments. Coordinates aspects of planning, design, development, build, implementation, communication, maintain and evaluation of existing or new functionality related to clinical and non-clinical information systems. This position also assists with research and development of training programs, needs assessment, and consultation for the purpose of providing effective EHR system adaptation and optimization to staff at all levels of the organization. This position requires attending vendor training, achieving and maintaining Epic ASAP & ClinDoc certification on designated EHR modules. Employee is responsible for participating in all the phases of project management and providing direct user training as assigned. This position is accountable for development and delivery of any/all of the following: System build, testing, analyses and implementation of EHR application(s) Employee and physician EHR system training (any modules, any sites); Training programs covering EHR system version upgrades and process changes Training initiatives for EHR system optimization;

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree
Minimum 1 year experience in the EHR support
Minimum 2 years + proven experience in delivery of training programs in a healthcare environment.
Must be Certified in Epic ASAP modules
Knowledge of Epic systems, data structures, and application software
Ability to work with Microsoft Office applications for the production and management of training materials.
Knowledge of supported hardware and software
Interpersonal/human relations skills
Ability to communicate technical guidance and instruction at the End User level.

Nice To Haves

Experience in healthcare and clinical systems application build and training preferred.
Experience with physicians and physician training preferred.

Responsibilities

Participate in the planning, development, implementation, training, maintenance, EHR clinical systems.
Provides employee and physician education, training, and hands-on and day-to-day support.
Assists with the development of training programs for all clinical/EHR system implementation.
Assists with the development, publication, and dissemination of training offerings for employees and physicians.
Assists in the development and production of training materials and participates in end user training.
Troubleshoot problems and questions and work with 3rd party systems when necessary.
Identify issues that arise in their application area as well as issues that impact other application teams.
Guide workflow design, build and test the system, and analyze other technical issues associated w/EHR software.
Identify and implement requested changes to the EHR System.
Develop an understanding of operational needs to set the direction for CFMC’s workflows.
Review the status of system changes including software updates, optimizations and downtime.
Enhances professional growth and development by accessing educational programs.
Maintains established department/hospital policies.
