The Portland Clinic is seeking a certified or accredited professional billing analyst to support the day-to-day operations within IT department. The following information is designed to outline the essential functions and position requirements of this job. PRIMARY FUNCTION: Serve as a subject matter expert in Epic applications, providing analysis, configuration, and support to enhance system functionality and user experience.

  • Analyze user requirements and workflows to configure Epic applications accordingly.
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational stakeholders to optimize system performance.
  • Provide ongoing support for Epic upgrades, enhancements, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations and procedures.
  • Conduct training sessions and create user guides for end-users.
  • Participate in testing and validation of new features and updates.
  • Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations.
  • Serve as a resource for Epic-related projects and initiatives.
  • Engage in supporting end users to ensure optimal usage of systems including workflow optimization.
  • Ensure work requests/incidents are worked efficiently and addressing root cause of problems.
  • Collaborate and communicate to keep the IT team and clinical stakeholders informed of status and progress on assigned work.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support departmental goals.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • Epic certification or accreditation Resolute Professional Billing.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Epic systems analysis and support.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • EpicCare Ambulatory certification or accreditation
  • Experience in project management and system implementation.
  • Knowledge of healthcare operations and clinical workflows.
  • Excellent oral, written, and one-on-one communication skills, able to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization.
  • Capacity to partner with clinic and technical team leaders in planning and implementing technology training solutions in support of new applications.
  • Experience in a clinical, administrative, financial, or technology department in healthcare setting is strongly desired.
  • Able to present in front of large groups.
  • Experience developing and conducting training in medical setting.
  • Able to evaluate student development needs and effectively recognize student successes.
  • Experience with Visio software to document workflows and diagrams.
