The EPC Project Manager is primarily responsible for providing overall direction and managing field projects of any size, risk, scope and complexity, usually involving multiple craft disciplines; as well as developing new business opportunities relative to a particular Client, groups of Clients or geographical area. Works independently; subject to policies and general management direction. Provides guidance to lower level PMs on policies and procedures, where applicable. Responsible for profit/loss, budgeting, estimating, planning and scheduling, forecasting, collections, financial management, marketing/sales, field execution, client relations, and project technical support. Identifies and resolves technical/operational problems on projects. Assists in establishing objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards. This position will start in the Houston JFK office but will proceed to a jobsite in Arizona in March/April 2023. Essential Functions Actively supports the Company's commitment to safety and its “Core Values.” Represents the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company's “Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.” Maintaining accountability for safety on assigned projects; conducting required evaluations pursuant to the Safety Accountability Program. Actively promoting and supporting Company's safety programs and its commitment to safety. Conducting regular safety audits to monitor craft and staff compliance with Company and client safety programs. Implement corrective measures when required. Initiates and maintains liaison with client to facilitate engineering, procurement and construction activities, including assessing scope of work and resources required to successfully complete assigned projects. Represents Company at project meetings, strategy meetings, etc. as applicable to assigned projects. Establishes project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy, including preparation or oversight of the complete estimate for selected project with a detailed review of proposal specifications, drawings, and contract. Assists with the staffing of project and construction management positions, with assistance of functional department heads. Ensures that these positions are filled with qualified and properly trained candidates. Manages and monitors the engineering, design, procurement and on-site field construction management and supervision to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule. Ensures project issues/concerns are addressed and corrective measures implemented, as necessary. Provides technical assistance (i.e., interpretation of drawings) and recommending design and construction methods and equipment as required. Responsible for change management, estimating of changes and issuance of change orders for assigned projects. Responsible for understanding all requirements of the project's contract and managing aspects of contracts to protect company's interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with client. Responsible for profit/loss accountability for assigned project. Confirm project billings and collections are current. Reviewing project cost and schedule performance regularly and providing monthly cost estimates (forecasts) to complete the project and monthly schedule updates, highlighting to senior management any areas of concern on the project. Other duties as required for the successful completion of the project.
