About The Position

Leidos Engineering has an opportunity for an expereinced Project Manager who will work alongside lead engineers and program managers supporting a growing clientele of construction partners. We are currently seeking a qualified applicant to provide turnkey project management services related to electric utility engineering projects throughout the United States, with local partnering opportunities in the specified location. The Project Manager will be part of an established Project Management Office within our Power Delivery Solutions division that provides consulting services to construction partners rebuilding and expanding transmission, substation, and distribution infrastructure nationwide. The estimated pay range for this position is between 100-130k, depending on the selected candidate's background, expereince and qualifications. As a Leidos employee, You can look forward to a fast paced, diverse work environment and flexible work hours/work arrangements, as well as managers who will encourage career development and growth opportunities, including: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Formal Mentorship programs Learning & Development Resources Continuing Education Programs Leadership training & Management opportunities As an EPC Project Manager, you can expect to: Independently lead project teams to complete engineering design of various sized electrical infrastructure projects for construction clients located throughout the United States, with local partnering opportunities in your area Accept responsibility for overall project performance, reporting, and fostering strategic relationships Manage project costs, schedule and scope, including the development of recovery plans to stay within approved limits Interface directly with the client and internal management to solve issues and report progress, costs, schedule adherence and risks Ensure contract compliance throughout project lifecycle Drive results by coordinating and working with Engineering Leads and Managers to track and execute client deliverables Ensure and document adherence to the quality control process Communicate with clients, internal project teams, multiple engineering disciplines, functional leaders, subcontractors, and support personnel Prepare bid documents, develop cost estimates and respond to requests for proposal Complete client invoicing and accruals within prescribed time frames Identify opportunities to improve existing partnerships and grow new relationships in your local area Some periodic travel will be required in order to best serve our utility customers, so the selected candidate should be available for travel on an as-needed basis

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance or a related discipline is required
  • A minimum of four (4) + years of relevant experience in the electric power industry
  • Familiarity with the electric power industry and knowledge of business issues associated with power delivery services
  • Demonstrated expereince working in a project environment for/with US based electric utilities
  • Candidates with experience in a consulting environment will be highly preferred
  • Must have the capability to understand, plan, monitor and report project financial performance
  • Demonstrated success in change management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with project management software (e.g., Workfront, Pro Core, MS Project, P6)
  • Experience with MS Office Software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Periodic travel is required, so candidates should be available for travel as needed
  • This position is remote, but is US Based. Candidates must be located in the US to be considered.
