This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As part of a unique and highly-skilled team, you’ll perform environmental testing of flight hardware. In this hands-on position you’ll work directly with a small team operating and maintaining the environmental test equipment while conducting development, qualification and acceptance testing of flight hardware. Additional responsibilities include: Conduct hands-on shock, vibration, thermal, humidity and vacuum testing on flight hardware in accordance with MIL-STD-810, SMC-S-016 and MIL-STD-1540 Operate test consoles and work with a team of engineers & technicians to execute component level testing Ensure all operations are performed safely, on time and in a professional manner Work with test, flight and safety critical hardware, tools and shop equipment Setup and safely operate high energy systems (e.g. high pressure gases, cryogenics and electrical) Operate and maintain environmental test equipment including data acquisition systems, environmental chambers, vibration systems and instrumentation Conduct and/or oversee several test projects simultaneously while supporting operation schedules Configure test setups, fixtures and instrumentation per test plans and standards Review test documentation for test readiness Maintain cleanliness of test equipment and test lab Identify, communicate, and mitigate cost, schedule and technical risks Participate in Process/Job Hazard Assessments/Test Readiness Reviews We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight.
