We are currently seeking an Environmental Technician to join our Environmental Health & Safety team in an onsite role based in Ames, Iowa, reporting directly to the EHS Manager. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring environmental compliance by adhering to established protocols for managing hazardous and non-hazardous waste, overseeing the testing, treatment, and discharge of process water to the City of Ames water treatment plant, and supporting chemical spill response and cleanup efforts. Your ability to act with urgency and collaborate closely with production to support operational needs will be highly valued. The ideal candidate will have a background in environmental regulations, be comfortable working with the metric system, and have hands-on experience using hand tools, pumps, and laboratory instrumentation.
