Job Description: The Environmental Control Technician is responsible for monitoring and maintaining key indicators of product quality and safety through inspection, testing and communication. The individual’s hands-on approach and strong interpersonal skills will allow them to become familiar with the plant processes and work with others to ensure alignment and drive continuous improvement within the daily operations in the plant. Leading and driving corrective/preventative action will deliver results and improvements to Roskam Baking Company.

Requirements

  • Background in science, experience working in the biological sciences
  • Strong interpersonal skills to include team building and oral communication
  • Strong customer facing skills
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft software and computing skills

Responsibilities

  • Leading the Environmental Monitoring (EM) Program for RBC facilities
  • Lead data analysis and reporting for the EM program
  • Lead the Investigation, Analysis and Prevention (IAP) and corrective/preventative action (CAPA) process for the EM program
  • Perform and schedule all related sampling and testing, ensuring testing conforms to RBC GLP practices
  • Support equipment calibration procedures and processes
  • Strengthen the cleaning and sanitation verification practices by working within interdepartmental team to collect and report relevant data.
  • Support the allergen validation process for RBC production facilities
  • Support the microbiological validation process for RBC production facilities
  • Identify and proactively plan for process/system improvement, support related quality and sanitation departmental projects
  • Support internal/external auditing programs
