The Environmental & Sustainability Program Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing environmental compliance programs and sustainability initiatives across IDT’s operations. This role drives measurable impact by reducing environmental footprint and ensuring regulatory compliance. This position reports to the Director of EHS and is part of the broad Environment, Health & Safety Team, and will be an on-site role at any IDT / Aldevron location (Boulder, CO; Fargo, ND; Madison, WI; Raleigh, NC; San Diego, CA).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, sustainability, engineering, or other field
  • Years of experience in sustainability and environmental compliance programs
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and sustainability frameworks
  • Strong analytical, design and project management skills
  • Excellent in documentation and communication
  • Ability to travel as required (up to 15%, including overnight stays)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with global sustainability initiatives
  • Familiarity with environmental reporting tools and automation platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures Environmental Performance through the development, implementation, and management of environmental programs across US and international sites.
  • Drives critical programs such as CAA, RCRA, Stormwater, Wastewater, SPCC, TRI, etc., to reduce risks and company costs.
  • Exhibits a working knowledge of global chemical substance regulations (REACH, TSCA, RoHS, CA Prop 65, etc.)
  • Lead sustainability programs by managing GHG reduction and tracking, recycling, and waste reduction initiatives (hazardous, non-hazardous, and recycling).
  • Assess and improve environmental impact through sites assessments and driving continuous improvement by establishing performance targets, data analysis and reporting.
