About The Position

Environmental Specialist, $60,000 - $80,000 yearly Full-Time, Monday - Friday, Various Shifts Travel to facility locations will be required. The environmental specialist will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the environmental compliance and permitting obligations which apply to the facilities within the designated and assigned region, which may or may not include Clean Water Act (SPCC, Industrial Stormwater, Construction Stormwater), Clean Air Act, Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know (EPCRA), aboveground and underground storage tank regulations, and various state and local regulatory programs. Requirements / Qualifications: Routine tasks will include reviewing completed documentation, identifying corrective actions, participating in the corrective action resolution, preparation of various required reports and documentation, and ensuring proper record retention. Provide technical, regulatory expertise for effective problem-solving, oversight of new plan and permit development, and continuous evaluation of regulatory applicability as rule/facility changes occur. Develop positive working relationships with site personnel to drive continuous compliance improvements at the facility location as well as identifying and implementing process improvements. Assist in accomplishing the department objectives of an improved compliance tracking system, electronic data reporting, frequent interactions with operational and site personnel, and policy/standard development. Participate in and support regulatory agency inspections and perform internal audits as needed.
