WMS Technical Unit Leader: Provides expert technical guidance to environmental scientists, public and private officials, stakeholders, not-for-profits, university scientists, natural resource agency partners (state and local), in the daily execution of the Watershed Management Section's (WMS) duties and responsibilities related to technical scientific aspects of the Kansas Nonpoint Source Management Plan and subsequent programs. Must influence a team of partners (listed above) to analyze water pollution data and evaluate the various alternatives and techniques for controlling the sources of pollution "often in a sensitive and questionable environment" and provides recommended actions on complex issues. The primary work product is a plan that is diverse in nature, highly complex, in which resources are leveraged or provided for implementation of the developed plan.
