About The Position

We’re seeking a passionate and dedicated Environmental Specialist who brings enthusiasm, strong organizational and communication skills, and expertise to the table. In this role, you will implement and maintain established environmental programs to ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and standards to drive the overall Toyota Safety & Environmental culture while collaborating with a dynamic and diverse team to achieve shared goals. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
  • 4+ years of EHS experience
  • Knowledge of basic business software programs, such as Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

  • Results oriented and strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at any level.
  • Professional HSS Certifications are a plus (ASP, CSP, CIH, etc.).
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supports environmental compliance for assigned division and/or departments, implements and maintains company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental regulations.
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable environmental and hazardous materials transportation regulations and keeps up to date of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization.
  • Accomplish all required governmental environmental sampling and reporting requirements throughout the year.
  • Supporting the interface with all federal, state, and local regulatory bodies.
  • Be involved in the design and development of facilities, work areas and work procedures and makes environmental recommendations accordingly.
  • Determine waste reduction and recycling opportunities and coordinate waste management program.
  • Design, develop, and implement several environmental multi-media training presentations.
  • Assist in the development, management, and maintenance of company's environmental management system and support ISO 14001 certification responsibilities.
  • Prepare and conduct emergency preparedness trainings and develops and conducts emergency management exercises.
  • Provide support to multiple sites and/or multiple shifts.
  • Foster and encourage an atmosphere of responsibility, safety, and pride.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
