About The Position

The Representative II, Environmental Solutions supports a designated sales territory to collaborate with assigned Environmental Services Account Executive(s) in achieving individual and area sales targets. Leads complex account portfolios and serves as a subject matter expert. Provides strategic support to sales teams and guidance for junior reps. Handles high-value books of business and escalated service issues.

Requirements

  • Must live and work in the US.
  • Bachelor's Degree (accredited) (accredited) in Environmental Science or similar area of study, or in lieu of degree.
  • High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and three years of relevant work experience.
  • 5 years of relevant work experience with a minimum of three years of progressive experience working in the industrial, hazardous, or related waste industry (in addition to education requirement.)
  • This job has no supervisory duties but may occasionally act as a team lead.
  • Knowledge of special and hazardous waste requirements and DOT regulations are required.
  • Excellent oral and written skills required.
  • Must be self-motivated and possess excellent organization skills.

  • In order to travel by air or access federal property, federal law requires individuals have a REAL ID or an acceptable alternative. This position may require the successful candidate to travel by air for business reasons, or service federal property. Accordingly, successful candidates must have, or be willing to obtain, a REAL ID, or TSA approved alternative.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as the primary escalation contact for high-level client service and vendor concerns. Provide effective resolution to high level service problems.
  • Supports assigned Environmental Services Account Executive(s) to achieve or exceed budgeted revenue growth goals.
  • Develops economic and practical solutions for customers using competitive pricing tools. Develops customized proposals and prepares correspondence. (Estimated Contract Value Under $250,000)
  • Applies technical knowledge to assists customers with testing parameters and proper completion of profiles, manifests and appropriate forms for both WM Hazardous Facilities and Vendor Facilities.
  • Effectively utilize, coordinate, and cultivate relationships with internal and external customers to identify new waste stream opportunities. Interacts and works cohesively with the other Industrial and SMB sales team members.
  • Work with Area Billing teams, Centralized Setup, and ESP Billing ISCs to ensure customer setups are completed accurately and teams have appropriate information to provide an accurate invoice to the customer.
  • Maintains and builds upon existing customer relationships through active account management and retention including the administration of profile renewals, regulatory updates and new service offerings.
  • Conducts effective probing of inbound customer inquiries to gather relevant information and to identify the most ideal industrial or environmental solution for the customer.
  • Assists account managers with receivables and collections issues.
  • Delegates data entry, manifest preparation, filing and other basic administrative tasks to Industrial Sales Coordinators.
  • Represent the team in cross-functional initiatives and special projects.
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned by supervisor. Acts as the primary escalation contact for client service and vendor concerns. Provide effective resolution to high level service problems.
