About The Position

Sentara Albemarle Medical Center is hiring a full-time Environmental Services Technician for an evening shift (3:00pm-11:00pm) with rotating weekends. This role involves working around patients in housekeeping to maintain a clean, orderly, and sanitary environment. Responsibilities include safe work practices, proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment for tasks like damp dusting, mopping, scouring, scrubbing, stripping, and polishing, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards for waste management. Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 1 year of housekeeping/ESD experience required in lieu of High School/GED Diploma

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a clean, orderly, and sanitary environment in assigned areas
• Practicing safe work methods, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and applications such as damp dusting, mopping, scouring, scrubbing, stripping, and polishing
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards for waste collection, handling, and transport
• Demonstrating exceptional teamwork and collaboration to deliver the best possible experience and care for patients
