About The Position
We are seeking a dependable Environmental Services Technician to support our Surgical Services team in maintaining a clean, safe, and patient-centered healthcare environment. As part of the Environmental Services team, you will help ensure surgical areas and patient spaces meet the highest standards of cleanliness and safety for patients, providers, and staff.
Requirements
- No prior experience required
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping or environmental services experience in a hospital or healthcare setting
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain environmental services equipment including burnishers, auto scrubbers, rotary scrubbers, and vacuum cleaners
- Maintain assigned areas in a clean, sanitary, and organized condition for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Clean patient areas, restrooms, beds, furniture, fixtures, and common areas.
- Remove trash and linen and replenish necessary supplies.
- Follow all infection control, safety, and personal protective equipment (PPE) policies and procedures.
- Safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment according to established guidelines.
- Use proper safety practices including wet floor signage, body mechanics, and emergency response procedures
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently and within established timeframes.
