About The Position

Environmental Service Tech/ Housekeeper Full Time, Day Shift (Starting time varies between 7:30am or 8:00am) Mount Alverna Village , a part of Franciscan Ministries, is hiring an Environmental Services Technician/Housekeeper . We are looking for a reliable, energetic and self-motivated person to assist with commercial cleaning duties within a healthcare environment while helping to provide an exceptional home-like environment for our elderly residents. The chosen candidate will be a team player yet must be able to work independently and have a great attendance record. Mount Alverna Village is a vibrant senior living community in Parma, Ohio. Mount Alverna Village is a continuing care retirement community (CCRC), offering a variety of senior lifestyle options including independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing/long-term care. Additionally, the onsite rehabilitation clinic offers inpatient and outpatient physical, occupational, and speech therapies, and state-of-the-art programs designed to enhance the quality of life for residents and patients in the local community. In this role, you will be responsible for the cleaning and upkeep of resident quarters, dining areas, lounges, offices, restrooms, laundry rooms, storage and equipment areas, and all other public and private areas of the facility as scheduled. This position is also responsible for inventory and safe utilization of cleaning supplies and other equipment used for cleaning.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must be able to work rotating weekends and holidays as needed
  • Must be reliable, energetic and self-motivated who truly enjoys working with the senior population
  • Great attendance

Nice To Haves

  • Previous housekeeping experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Clean, disinfect, and maintain a safe environment in all designated areas at the community using proper germicide cleaning products and following infection control practices at all times.
  • Clean, vacuum, sweep, and/or mop all floors and carpets.
  • Clean windows and dust blinds and woodwork.
  • Clean resident beds and rooms upon discharge, handling infectious waste appropriately.
  • Maintain work carts, supply closets, and non-motorized equipment; keeping them stocked and clean.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures and any updates.
