Environmental Services Housekeeper
About The Position
maintains a clean safe, and sanitary environment to prevent the spread of infections, disinfecting patient rooms, sanitizing high touch surfaces, handling medical waste, and restocking supplies and follow infection control protocols.cleans and services rooms, bathrooms, lavatories, and offices, cleans, mops, dusts furniture and equipment; cleans window ledges, empties trash baskets, and arranges furniture and equipment in an orderly fashion; sinks, mirrors, showers, and similar equipment; replenishes supplies of soap and paper products, polishes and cleans doors and windows; keeps utility rooms clean by moving items and getting behind them, clean all edges corners and cracks, and sweeping and mopping floors, Clean dismissal rooms as needed, performs a variety of related duties.
Requirements
- The housekeeper should have the ability to read and write and follow simple oral instructions.
- Cleaning experience is desirable, but not essential.
- Workers can achieve full productivity after briefing on-the-job training.
- Must know how to use common house-cleaning devices, such as brooms, mops, scouring pads, to keep areas clean and well serviced.
- Must know how to care for equipment, how to measure cleaning solutions, and be alert to hazards.
- ability to walk, stand, lift throughout a shift.
- Ability to multi-task and work at a rapid pace
