Requirements
- Great at connecting with others—whether it’s staff, patients, or visitors, you’ve got the communication skills to make everyone feel welcome.
- Able to lift and carry more than 50 pounds with ease (using proper ergonomics, of course) and aren’t afraid to bend, stoop, and get down to business when it comes to stripping and refinishing floors.
- Familiar with electric and battery-powered floor care equipment and know how to use it safely and efficiently.
- Know how to read and understand cleaning chemical labels, so you’re always aware of what you’re using and how to stay safe.
- Physically able to rock this role for an entire shift without breaking a sweat.
- Six months of experience working in Environmental Services, ideally in a healthcare or institutional setting.
- Ready to complete the training and mentoring program, pass your competency assessment, and be on your way to success in 30-60 days!
Responsibilities
- Maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of all our floors.
- Following our maintenance schedule to ensure every inch is looking its best.
- Periodic floor care projects will be your opportunity to shine even brighter—whether it's a deep clean or refinishing work, you’ll make sure everything is pristine.
- Ensure that every floor surface meets safety and infection control standards, keeping everyone safe and sound.
- Work as part of our Environmental Services team, jumping in wherever needed to keep the facility running smoothly.
