Environmental Services Equipment Technician
About The Position
The EVS Technician (Alaris IV Pump Cleaning & Disinfection) is responsible for the safe, thorough, and timely processing of Alaris IV pumps used throughout the hospital system. This role ensures pumps are retrieved, cleaned, disinfected, and terminally processed in accordance with established infection prevention standards and organizational procedures, with all work accurately documented and returned equipment properly staged for clinical use. The technician upholds patient and staff safety by maintaining high availability of clean, ready-for-use pumps and performing all responsibilities with strong attention to detail, adherence to protocols, dependable time management, and a consistent commitment to reliability and accountability.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to read and follow written procedures and manufacturer’s instructions with a knowledge of basic infections control and cleaning principles.
- Ability to lift, push, and transport medical equipment safely.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Environmental Services, Sterile Processing, or Healthcare Support roles
- Familiarity with Alaris IV Pumps or similar patient-care devices
- Training in healthcare infection prevention practices
