Position Summary The Environmental Services Attendant is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction for external and internal customers by maintaining cleanliness and providing friendly and helpful service throughout events, performing routine cleanliness and maintenance tasks/projects in the facility. Must be able to work safely in an environment containing chemicals & cleaning materials (with appropriate personal protective equipment), debris, dust, and trash. The noise level in the work environments is minimal to moderate during non-event times and moderate to loud during event times. Typical hours include nights, weekends and holidays as necessary. This role pays an hourly rate of $17.00 Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching This position will remain open until May 22, 2026.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, days, evenings, overnight, weekends and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Ability to safely sweep, mop, scrub, wax, and maintain various floor types including tile, concrete, carpet, and wood surfaces.
  • Ability to clean and sanitize restrooms in accordance with health and safety standards.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, specifications, and checklists with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, and vendors.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and pull for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub and wax floors.
  • Wash walls, windows, stainless steel, counter tops and woodwork.
  • Clean restrooms and replenish supplies.
  • Remove stains, clean and extract carpet.
  • Dust, polish, arrange and move furniture and equipment.
  • Remove trash and waste.
  • Work from general instructions, specifications and checklists.
  • Daily inspection of areas of responsibility.
  • Maintain exterior of facility. Tasks include picking up trash, emptying trash cans and sweeping parking lots.
  • Sort recyclables.
  • Use hand tools or small powered equipment applicable to the work being performed.
  • Perform facility and equipment maintenance tasks as assigned.
  • Report defective equipment, facility damage, areas of the facility requiring cleaning to supervisor in an timely manner.
  • Inventory and order janitorial supplies and paper products.
  • Remove and keep clear snow and ice from sidewalks and stairs.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative-working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Work schedules are determined by event activity.
