About The Position

Join Our Team as a Part-Time Park Attendant! The Fresno Metropolitan Flood Control District is on the lookout for a friendly, dedicated professional to join our team as a part-time Park Attendant . If you have a passion for people and the outdoors, a knack for detail, and you are a strong communicator, we'd love to hear from you! About the Role: You'll play a crucial part in maintaining two of the District's parks. Your daily responsibilities will include: Customer Service : Greet and interact with park patrons Safety : Enforce park rules Reservation Preparation : Prepare pavilion areas for reservations Maintenance and Cleaning : Regularly inspect, maintain, repair, and clean park facilities and grounds Independence: Problem solve on the fly Teamwork: Collaborate with Facilities Technicians and Park staff to complete tasks Adaptability : Rain or shine, you'll be out there, so embrace all seasons and be open to shifting priorities. Our parks are busiest on weekends and holidays. It's important you are able to work these shifts. What We're Looking For: High school diploma or equivalent One year of related work experience involving contact with the public and general maintenance Must be able to pass a background check and Live Scan (criminal background check) conducted by the District as a condition of employment Why Join Us? Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of related work experience involving contact with the public and general maintenance
  • Must be able to pass a background check and Live Scan (criminal background check) conducted by the District as a condition of employment
  • Must present identification and the legal right to work in the U.S.
  • Employees must take "disaster service workers" oath
