The Environmental Services Associate II position is located at The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc., part of Mass General Brigham. This role is integral to supporting the hospital's operations by maintaining a clean and sanitized environment, and it does not involve direct patient care.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 2-3 years experience working with the cleaning equipment and chemicals used in hospitals and healthcare centers
• Strong organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently but also be a team player.
• Good communication and comprehension skills.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, mops, waxes, strips, and polishes floors; vacuums and shampoos carpets.
• Dusts and polishes furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment.
• Washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, door panels, windows, sills, blinds, and door glass.
• Empties, cleans, and sanitizes waste receptacles in assigned areas.
• Cleans and sanitizes restroom facilities and fixtures as assigned, including sinks, urinals, toilets, mirrors, walls, and drinking fountains; replenishes restroom supplies as needed.
• Picks up debris around the building.
• Operates and controls high- and low-speed stripping/buffing machines.
• Sets up tables, chairs, and equipment in a variety of settings for special events and normal hospital activities.
• Identifies and reports building maintenance needs in assigned buildings and facilities.
