How you’ll contribute The Environmental Services Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment throughout the hospital. They ensure all assigned areas are cleaned and disinfected according to established procedures and schedules.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping or environmental services experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, and corridors
- Empty trash containers and dispose of waste in a safe and sanitary manner
- Dust and damp mop floors, clean windows, and vacuum carpets as needed
- Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor
- Follow infection control and safety procedures
