About The Position

As an Environmental Senior Project Manager at Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc.(CEC) , you will be responsible for managing current clients and developing new business. You will manage project teams tasked with providing a variety of environmental services to our clients, such as environmental assessments, subsurface investigations, soil and water remediation projects, and environmental permitting and compliance. You will provide senior direction on a variety of projects for real estate, manufacturing, public sector, and waste management clients and will provide quality assurance reviews of work products produced by others. You will be directly responsible for developing proposals and project budgets; ensuring compliance with CEC’s safety policies; managing technical staff, project financials, and subcontractors; performing quality assurance duties and project-related administrative tasks; performing data evaluation and interpretation; report preparation; and driving business development efforts. In this role, you will directly interact with clients, contractors, laboratories, and local/state/federal government officials. Senior Project Managers at CEC partner with management to mentor and assist in the professional development of staff, including the completion of annual performance reviews and assisting staff with the establishment of professional development goals. Concurrently, management will work with you to support your individual career goals through a variety of professional development and mentoring activities aimed at developing the project management, leadership, and business development skills needed to succeed and grow your career at CEC. Requirements

  • 15+ years’ experience in environmental consulting, with minimum of 10 years of experience in Project Management
  • B.S./M.S. in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or related field
  • Professional license
  • Thorough understanding of state and federal environmental regulations (e.g., RCRA, Act 2, CERCLA, CWA, etc.)
  • Thorough understanding of environmental site assessment and remediation, and ability to interpret data, communicate findings from site assessment activities to clients, and make recommendations relevant to project objectives
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects, budgeting and performing cost control, and achieving deadlines
  • Demonstrated experience supervising technical staff
  • Experience in proposal development (scope of service, budget and schedule), and demonstrated ability to manage projects safely and efficiently
  • Participation in both client- and professional development-based organizations
  • Established clients/contacts in the Real Estate, Oil & Gas, Mining, Power, Public Sector, Waste Management, and/or Manufacturing markets
  • Demonstrated business development and client management experience required

Nice To Haves

  • P.E. or P.G. a plus
  • Groundwater modelling experience a plus
