About The Position
Whitestone Associates, Inc., a 100% employee-owned company and leading provider of environmental and geotechnical engineering and consulting services throughout the eastern US, is currently recruiting for an Environmental Scientist or Geologis t to join our team. This is a tremendous opportunity for experienced candidates to join and contribute to the growth of a 100% employee-owned engineering firm. Salary commensurate with experience. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Environmental Scientist or Geologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 0-4 years of experience in environmental due diligence and remediation. This position requires a bachelor's degree in environmental science, geology, or a related field. The role will involve a mix of field and office responsibilities, including sample collection and analysis, report preparation, proposal development, and project coordination. Location: Tampa, FL
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or related field
- 0-4 years of relevant experience in environmental consulting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

Responsibilities
- Conduct field sampling activities including soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling as per project requirements and regulatory guidelines
- Conduct environmental due diligence assessments including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments
- Analyze and interpret field data, laboratory results, and historical information to support the preparation of technical reports
- Prepare accurate and concise technical reports adhering to established guidelines
- Stay up to date with current regulations and industry standards
