Requirements

  • BS in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or another related field.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in consulting or industry.
  • Experience conducting SPCC inspections and stormwater inspections, monitoring, and sampling.
  • Experience researching, reviewing, and guiding compliance with environmental regulations at a Federal, State and Local level; including SPCC, NPDES & discharge permitting.
  • Experience with permitting and regulatory compliance report development for stormwater and SPCC.
  • Ability to successfully multi-task and solve problems while maintaining quality and managing your own time.
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative work ethic.
  • Strong safety awareness and an understanding of safe work practices.
  • Excellent writing and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite are required.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving history are required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review environmental regulatory compliance permits and reports including stormwater (construction, industrial, and MS4), SPCC, and dewatering for multiple states.
  • Provide technical oversight and perform project work. Analyze and interpret field inspection records, stormwater and SPCC diagrams and stormwater control measure maintenance items.
  • Coordinate schedules for inspectors across multiple states and offices.
  • Coordinate laboratory activities, including sample handling, chain of custody documentation, and data review.
  • Review environmental legislation and regulations and determine impact on client activities.
  • Ability to travel for remote project needs across central US states, if applicable based on location, less than 15%.
  • Coordinate and communicate with clients in preparation for and during site visits.
  • Effectively communicate, track, and balance project workloads with supervisor.
  • Actively participate in a culture of safe work practices.
  • Define and develop your own professional growth with mentoring from senior managers.
