We're seeking an Environmental Scientist in the Denver Metro/Lakewood, Colorado area to join our team and play a vital role in helping us manage sustainability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or a similar field
  • Valid driver's license, good driving history, and access to reliable transportation are required
  • Recent graduate or someone with up to 3 years of experience with environmental field sampling and data collection
  • Comfortable working outside year-round and traveling for work up to one week at a time, including travel to remote project sites
  • Ability to work >8-hour days, lift 50 lbs, and stand for long periods of time (with breaks)
  • Ability to multi-task and manage your own schedule
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data management and report preparation preferred
  • Experience with safety programs and safe work practices
  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER training preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform field work including collecting soil, surface water, groundwater, soil vapor, and indoor air samples
  • Routine operation and maintenance of remediation systems
  • Become proficient in use and maintenance field monitoring equipment
  • Conduct Phase I environmental site inspections
  • Conduct stormwater inspections to ensure adherence to plans or regulatory
  • Gather and manage data manually and electronically requirements
  • Enter data into tables and figures and update report templates
  • Actively develop your own professional growth and manage your own schedule
  • Actively participate in a culture of safe work practices
