About The Position

The Environmental Manager is responsible for directing and overseeing all environmental aspects of a project from initiation through completion. This role leads project teams, manages environmental tasks and budgets, ensures compliance with federal and state regulations, and addresses environmental constraints throughout the project lifecycle. The position also involves developing and implementing environmental policies, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring mitigation and conservation measures are met.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline; OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Minimum of 5+ years of environmental consulting experience
Professional Geologist; PG or Professional Engineer; PE registration/license
Knowledge of environmental permitting, regulations, and testing methods
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-specific platforms (e.g., project management, data reporting systems).
Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills
Willingness to travel to job sites and work in diverse environmental conditions
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and interface with clients and regulatory bodies effectively

Nice To Haves

Certifications in relevant inspection or testing areas preferred (e.g., ACI, ICC, ATTI, Nuclear Safety).

Responsibilities

Lead and manage projects from proposal through completion, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives are met.
Develop project estimates, proposals, and scopes of work in collaboration with technical and business development teams
Coordinate and assign resources, including field technicians and support staff, to ensure project needs are met efficiently
Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients to manage expectations, address issues, and ensure satisfaction.
Track project financial performance, including cost control, revenue forecasting, and profitability analysis.
Ensure project alignment with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., PST, CERCLA, RCRA, ASTM standards)
Perform Phase I and II ESA technical writing and fieldwork
Conduct soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling using established safety protocols
Conduct site investigations, collect and evaluate data, and prepare comprehensive reports
Communicate with regulatory authorities and address project-specific requirements
Review and approve timesheets, reports, and client documentation; ensure timely submission of project deliverables.
Support employee development through training, mentorship, and performance feedback; participate in hiring and onboarding.
Ensure all activities adhere to company safety protocols and regulatory requirements
Assist with identifying add-on or follow-on work opportunities through client engagement and field visibility.
Participate in cross-functional collaboration with engineering, laboratory, safety, and operational teams.
