About The Position

APTIM seeks a highly motivated Project Manager with prior consulting experience
to participate in the development and management of environmental compliance
projects, primarily focused on hazardous waste management of retail, logistics,
and/or hospitality market clients. The successful candidate will manage
environmental compliance projects from proposal through execution to invoicing.
The candidate will have experience delegating work, training and mentoring
junior staff, and working directly with clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a core science (such as geology, chemistry, physics), engineering, environmental science, or related area required.
• 6 years related experience
• Minimum of 4 years related work experience in hazardous waste management in the retail, logistics, and/or hospitality markets.
• Minimum of 2 years of project management experience
• Knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and local hazardous waste regulatory requirements including annual and biennial reporting of hazardous waste generation
• Prior experience or training regarding environmental compliance and related federal and state environmental regulations.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong computer skills required. Must have a demonstrated strength and proficiency in Microsoft applications such as MS Excel, MS Word, SharePoint Online, etc. and the ability to learn other software applications.
• Willing to work in the field and travel to complete work.

Responsibilities

• Use strong hazardous waste technical acumen to support hazardous waste determinations, profiling, regulatory reporting, and a wide range of standard and nonstandard applications.
• Responsible for supporting the development of proposal scopes of work and cost estimates using internal cost estimating tools.
• Responsible for managing projects to ensure the successful completion of projects within established schedules and budgets.
• Planning and organizing projects
• Communicating to client and project teams
• Ensuring quality work performance, adherence to safety and compliance to schedule and budget
• Manage day-to-day costs against budgets
• Managing project resources
• Prepare and approve project invoices
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Serve as a team lead, providing guidance and oversight to junior staff on all active projects.
• Cultivate strong relationships with APTIM team members and clients in order to successfully deliver projects within designated timeframes.
