About The Position

Join a leading global bio-pharmaceutical company specializing in generic sterile injectable manufacturing as an Environmental Monitoring Analyst I. This role involves participating in the Environmental Monitoring Team responsible for the viable and non-viable monitoring of manufacturing areas, including air, water, and surface sampling. The job includes logging samples in a proprietary LIMS and adhering to cGMP documentation practices. Analysts will also handle water, product, and commodity samples and perform bioburden testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or related life science field with 0-1+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience in environmental monitoring.
  • Associates degree or HS diploma with 1-2 years of environmental monitoring experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience in gowning and sampling in an aseptic manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with LIMS and MODA sample tracking system.
  • Knowledge of cGMP manufacturing and clean room practices.
  • Understanding of aseptic lab processing and bioburden testing.

  • Experience with pharmaceutical lab setup.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct viable and non-viable environmental monitoring of manufacturing areas.
  • Log samples in a proprietary LIMS and adhere to cGMP documentation practices.
  • Process water, product, and commodity samples and perform bioburden testing.
  • Assist Supervisors in training new hires and integrating them into the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Act as an interim lead for the supervisor as needed.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives.
  • Perform bioburden testing on water and pharmaceutical product samples.
  • Test commodities for non-viable or viable particulates.
