Where do you fit in? The Environmental Intern position offers a dynamic work environment where you will collaborate on a variety of stormwater management projects, balancing both office-based tasks and independent field work.

Requirements

  • Upcoming junior or senior year of Bachelor of Science program in environmental studies, engineering, ecology, construction management or compatible courses of study preferred
  • Basic understanding of stormwater systems, drainage, and water-related infrastructure
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week
  • Valid driver's license, ability to maintain insurable status under the company's auto policy
  • Willing and able to travel locally
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in the field

Nice To Haves

  • stormwater : 1 year (Preferred)
  • ArcGIS: 1 year (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Utilize mapping and data collection tools such as ARCGIS Pro and Trimble GPS systems to enhance project documentation and analysis
  • Prepare detailed reports, including daily work reports, client inspection reports, and project site records.
  • Accurately document field activities and track work quantities throughout project lifecycles
  • Traveling to an from job sites as well as the yard
  • Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and contractors both in written and verbal formats
  • Follow through on problems that may compromise effective job performance by using appropriate chain of command
  • Demonstrate the mission, vision, and core values of the organization through conduct, behavior, actions, and words
  • Maintain positive working relationships and foster cooperative work environment
  • Display honesty and mutual respect when communicating with peers and other departments
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of duties in this job classification
