About The Position

The Environmental Intern works with the Regional Permits, Compliance, & Engineering (PC&E) team to support air/waste/water permitting, engineering construction, and environmental compliance projects. The successful candidate will apply engineering principles to assist with technical reports, review engineering designs, collect environmental samples, observe and document field activities, and compile and analyze data

Requirements

The successful candidate will be enrolled in a Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related degree program.
Legal eligibility to work in the US, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel among company facilities are required.
Analytically minded, passionate, team‐oriented individual who possesses the critical combination of precise attention to detail with an ability to see the larger picture.
Outstanding problem‐solving skills, adaptability, and data collection and presentation skills combined with the ability to work comfortably with others are necessary.

Responsibilities

Participates in field site visits, completes data collection, and analyzes findings, by producing technical reports, tabulating data, and preparing charts, graphs, and sketches in support of engineering and compliance
Researches and summarizes environmental regulations for facilities and collaborates with facility management to maintain local, state, and federal permits by assisting with permit applications, and managing electronic and hard copy filing of documents.
Participates in engineering design, contractor procurement, and construction management meetings and site visits to support successful facility development projects.
Compiles, organizes, and analyzes engineering and capital construction costs
Assists with the development and implementation of new or revised environmental resource programs, policies, procedures, methods of operation and provides recommendations for enhancements to ensure effective systems and services are in place.
Participates in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales, and services and performs any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and/or abide by our core values
