About The Position
We are seeking a Safety Intern to join our team for a 12-week program in Summer 2026. This position will be located in Belen, NM . This internship is designed to give you an understanding of how safety is driven at a company who prioritizes safety and maintains a strong safety culture. During the internship, you will be exposed to various aspects of safety management. You will develop the skills and knowledge needed to provide a solid foundation to build a career in the safety field. As an EH&S Intern, you will work alongside a team that is deeply committed to safety and continuous improvement. Job duties will include supporting the facility safety culture and improvements by participating in projects or initiatives identified by the site. This could include: Physical condition inspections JSA spot audits Hazard assessments Risk assessments LOTO training and proficiencies Confined space training and proficiencies Equipment inspections Mobile equipment audits and inventory LOTO procedural evaluations JSA evaluations/updates Toolbox talks
Requirements
- Pursuing an Occupational Health and Safety Degree
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in standard PC applications
