About The Position

As an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist, you will ensure that the Churchill facility maintains certain requirements. These requirements include environmental, health, and safety standards enforced by the PA Department of Environmental Protection, OSHA, Westinghouse, and other industry and regulatory authorities.

You will report to the Sr Manager, Radiation Safety, and work a hybrid schedule based in Churchill, PA.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, scientific or appropriate business field.
• 0 years of relevant experience with lab environment.
• Internship or co-op experience in a technical or engineering role.
• Technical writing skills to author/verify reports and procedures.
• Understand technical reports, including site procedures and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Implement standards contained in Westinghouse Codes of Business Ethics & Conduct.
• Work with other site EHS Specialist and EHS technicians to assess safe conditions and determine actions needed to maintain compliance.
• Contact suppliers to procure equipment and contractors needed to maintain EHS standards.
• Communicate with other EHS Specialists across Westinghouse to share lessons learned and best practices.
• Collaborate with employees at the Churchill site to implement standard work processes
