Plans, directs and champions all environmental, health, and safety programs for the HPS-Aiken facility. Provides additional EH&S oversite and support for the HPS-Wadsworth facility. #LI-SL1 #LI-SL1A Day In The Life Plan, direct, and champion EH&S programs. Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local EH&S regulations. Complete and submit required EH&S reports (internal and external). Coordinate with Hubbell senior EH&S leadership to ensure alignment with all corporate initiative and objectives. Provide EH&S training to employees as required. Champion permitting and regulatory compliance efforts for new processes and equipment installations Serve as the Management Representative for the ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications Track and report on all OSHA recordables, first aids, and near misses. Championing investigative efforts and programs to minimize associated risks. In conjunction with Human Resources, administer the site’s Workers Compensation Program Manage the proper disposal of all site waste stream (hazardous and non-hazardous) Responsible for overall safety and compliance management of hazardous waste. Determine personnel/positions who are responsible for specific hazardous waste activities. Manage non-hazardous waste streams with focus on cost minimization and land-fill volume reduction. Establish management procedures for hazardous waste. Manage and track EH&S training including: RCRA/DOT, New Employee Orientation, LOTO, Lift Truck Operation, X-Ray, HAZCOM, Emergency Response, Blood Borne Pathogens, etc. Write and maintain EH&S program documentation, including procedures and tracking mechanisms. Determine status of waste streams (hazardous, non-hazardous, etc.) through regular review and testing. Complete and sign regulatory reports after review in conjunction with corporate EH&S leadership and contracted EH&S consultants. Reports include: Monthly SPCC Inspections, Quarterly Hazardous Wastes, Quarterly Storm Water Inspections, Annual Air Emissions, Annual Tier II, Annual Form-R, etc. Coordinate as needed with appropriate regulatory agencies regarding program changes, remediation, and regulatory compliance issues. Administer Various EH&S Programs including: Hearing Conservation Program, Respiratory Protection, LOTO, Fall Protection, HAZCOM, etc. Serve as Radiation Safety Officer and administer Radiation Safety Program. Administer Ergonomics evaluation program on key manufacturing processes. Develop and administer programs to reduce work-related incidents and injuries. Coordinate as needed with appropriate regulatory agencies regarding program changes, remediation, and regulatory compliance issues.
