We are searching for an Environmental, Health & Safety Manager to join our team located at our facility in Jacksonville, IL (West plant location). Responsibilities Your Role: The Environmental, Health & Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing programs that ensure a safe and healthy work environment while also protecting the environment. This includes creating and enforcing policies, conducting safety audits, managing risk, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. EHS Managers also play a key role in training employees, investigating incidents, and developing emergency response plans. You will have the opportunity to Make Great Things Happen! Drive the development and implementation of Environmental, Health, and Safety policies, procedures, and programs. Responsible for creating and developing an environment fostering a culture of employee ownership and commitment Maintain updated OSHA and EPA required written programs and develop/conduct training as necessary. Oversee the reporting and investigations of any potential injury, accident, and/or health and safety related issues. Oversee the necessary environmental, health, and safety training to support and enhance the organization’s safety culture, and c ontinue to foster an injury free work environment. Develop and deploy policies, procedures, programs to support best practices and identify best practices within the Reynolds system. Provide communication and training to plant management, establish, and maintain communications, reporting, assessments, training programs, and guidance. Work with the Corporate EHS departments and provide prioritized direction and technical expertise to the engineering organizations or contractors in implementing projects. Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Engineering or technical discipline or related field.
  • 5-7+ years of progressive and related professional health and safety experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and multiple internal customers.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Solid project management capabilities with the ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously from origin through execution.
  • Well-developed leadership and motivational skills with proven ability to influence and motivate others to quickly achieve results.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines.
  • Must be team-oriented with the ability to work on high collaboration and performance teams.
  • Proficient in MS Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications in Health & Safety.
  • MBA or Master’s degree.
  • Environmental experience.
