About The Position

Road & Rail Services Environmental, Health, & Safety Manager We're seeking a Highly motivated, Experienced, and Detail oriented individual to join our team here at Road & Rail. This position will be based out of our Mulberry office with up to 50% travel required The Role At Road & Rail Services, safety isn't just a compliance box we check-it is the absolute backbone of our operation. Since 1987, we have been a leader in rail-related services across North America, maintaining assets for some of the biggest names in the industry. We are looking for a veteran EHS Manager to join our Mulberry, FL team. This is not a "hide in the office" role. We need a hands-on leader who is ready to be the boots-on-the-ground expert, driving a safety-first culture where it matters most: in the field. What You Will Do As our EHS Manager, you will be the architect of our safety compliance and the guardian of our team's well-being. You will split your time between our Mulberry office and field operations (approx. 50% travel), ensuring that our safety manuals translate into real-world practice. Lead the Culture: You won't just track incidents; you will prevent them. You will conduct Root Cause Analysis, lead investigations, and turn data into actionable safety standards. Train the Team: You will oversee HSE training programs, ensuring every employee-from new hires to veterans-is equipped with the knowledge to work safely. Inspect & Audit: You will perform facility HSE inspections to ensure we are meeting federal, state, and local regulations. Bridge the Gap: You will be the primary communicator between management, field employees, and regulatory agencies. Who You Are You are a seasoned safety professional who thrives in an industrial environment. You aren't afraid of grease, noise, or heights, and you prefer the outdoors to a cubicle.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive HSE management experience
  • B.S. in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field (or have equivalent experience)
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
  • Physically capable of working in outdoor environments (hot/cold/dusty), climbing ladders in excess of 16 feet, and wearing full PPE
  • Willing to travel 50% of the time and can adapt your schedule (including weekends/holidays) when the mission requires it
