EJ has an immediate opening for a 2026 Environmental, Health and Safety Intern. Summary: The intern will gain hands-on experience at a modern iron foundry that began operations in September of 2001. This role offers opportunities to engage in real-world problem-solving and contribute to operational excellence. Responsibilities involve updating the facility’s Emergency Response Plan by mapping key safety features such as first aid kits, tornado shelters, rally points, and eye wash stations, as well as reviewing lockout/tagout procedures to ensure compliance. The intern will also assist in converting job hazard analyses to a standardized format while gaining insight into foundry operations and environmental health and safety practices through job shadowing with department leaders.
