About The Position

Position Overview: The EHS Manager is responsible for implementing and sustaining Tract’s environmental, health, and safety programs at assigned project sites in Texas, with a focus on construction activities and contractor management. This role works day-to-day in the field to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Tract’s EHS Manual. Serve as the primary onsite EHS representative for Tract at assigned Texas project sites, championing Tract’s zero-incident culture Implement and monitor compliance with Tract’s EHS Manual and applicable OSHA, EPA, and state/local regulations Review and provide feedback on contractor Site-Specific Health and Safety Plans (HASP) and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) to ensure alignment with Tract expectations and project scope Conduct regular site inspections and documented audits focused on high-risk activities (earthwork, deep excavations, mobile equipment, cranes/lifting, work at height, electrical, confined space, etc.) Track and drive closure of EHS observations, non-conformances, and corrective actions with contractors and Tract field teams Lead or support investigations of incidents and near misses, perform root cause analysis, and develop corrective and preventive action plans Ensure timely incident reporting and case management updates in accordance with Tract’s EHS procedures Facilitate and/or support daily and weekly safety meetings (pre-task plans, toolbox talks, stand-downs) and communicate lessons learned across the site Support environmental compliance for construction activities (e.g., stormwater controls, waste management, spill prevention) and escalate issues as needed Partner with Construction, Engineering, Operations, and the broader EHS team to identify high-energy hazards early in planning and implement effective controls Deliver or coordinate EHS training and onboarding for contractors and Tract personnel on Tract standards, hazard recognition, and high-energy control expectations Contribute EHS data and insights (leading/lagging indicators, trends, observations) to support reporting and continuous improvement across the EHS team and project leadership NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, health sciences, engineering, construction management, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in environmental, health, and safety roles supporting construction, heavy civil, industrial, or infrastructure projects
  • Hands-on experience implementing EHS programs on active construction sites, including conducting field inspections, developing or reviewing JHAs, and supporting incident investigations
  • Working knowledge of OSHA construction standards and relevant environmental requirements (e.g., stormwater, waste, spill prevention)
  • Experience supporting or managing contractor EHS performance, including plan reviews, audits, and corrective action follow-up
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with construction managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and EHS professionals on fast-paced projects
  • Responsible, ethical, and collaborative mindset with a can-do attitude, pride in work product, and appreciation of the value of communicating, brainstorming and sharing information
  • Passionate about the data center industry and keeping up with current industry trends
  • Enthusiastic problem solver who enjoys widely varied challenges
  • Self-starter who can take the lead on complex projects, work under pressure, deal with multiple deadlines, and work with minimal supervision
