Under the administrative direction of the Director of Safety and Risk Management, the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager is responsible for leading EHS staff in the campus-wide administration of all aspects of environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The role involves applying a technical EHS understanding in contributing to developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive EHS policies and procedures in the areas of occupational safety, food safety, industrial hygiene, hazardous material spill response, radiation safety, biological safety, chemical safety, construction safety management, and student safety. The EHS Manager works collaboratively with various departments to identify potential hazards, conduct risk assessments, and implement corrective measures aimed at minimizing risks and promoting a culture of safety across the campus.
