About The Position

The Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) Manager ($110,000 - $125,000 depending on experience) is a key position at Jensen Infrastructure. You’ll lead the O&M teams in a top-tier safety culture and manage EH&S safety practices. This EH&S Manager will implement, administer, develop, and improve EH&S programs, assist management in injury and illness prevention, and ensure operations are following local, state and federal environmental and safety regulations. Reporting to our Vice President of EH&S, you’ll primarily work with all operations teams, in multiple plants (Puyallup, Shelton, Gig Harbor and Camas) to maintain a culture where employees at all levels understand EH&S processes and are committed to maintaining a safe and environmentally compliant work environment. A highlight of your day-to-day will include: Managing city, county, state and federal compliance requirements. Conducting plant audits (e.g., housekeeping and risk assessment). Analyzing data from incident history, behavioral observations, hazard reports, and plant audits to identify plant performance trends to determine and create plant performance improvement strategies. Collecting and analyzing data from our safety programs including reviewing incident reports, hazard reports, near-hit reports, and non-routine tasks. Managing and facilitating plant safety education programs. Conducting new employee onboarding, ensuring all necessary regulatory and Company safety management programs are reviewed. Developing and administering safety training presentations covering OSHA compliance, the Company’s management programs, and cultural/behavioral change processes.

Requirements

  • You’re enthusiastic and motivated in a fast-paced environment.
  • You have 3 or more years of experience leading, mentoring, and coaching the EH&S function in a manufacturing setting.
  • You’ve created training programs, and you don’t shy away from being on the plant floor.
  • You’re a lifelong learner preferably with a Bachelor’s in occupational health and safety with a CSP designation (not required).
  • Safety is your passion and you don’t take shortcuts.
  • You’re safety conscious not just for yourself, but for your team.
