On our team, you’ll have the support to excel at work and the resources to build a career you can be proud of. 1st Shift, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm As a Environmental Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager you will be responsible for overseeing workplace safety, environmental compliance, and supporting site sustainability initiatives at multiple sites within a geographical and/or metropolitan area(s). This may be an on-site or a multi-site role with regional travel. You will directly partner with operational leadership to promote EHS success by working as part of a team to identify opportunities to actively engage employees, leveraging expertise and technologies to solve complex problems to enable continued growth of our EHS culture and performance excellence. What you’ll do on a typical day: Lead EHS by influencing and educating team members to deliver a strong EHS culture and value to our employees and customers. Coach, mentor, and develop early career EHS professionals and operational leaders. Manage EHS programs at one or multiple locations. Ensure operations understand the EHS function by embedding and validating expectations, processes, and procedures, ultimately achieving company and customer objectives for EHS performance. Work with leaders to foster workplace safety and compliance (including permits, licensing, and sustainability) in alignment with company policies and applicable regulations. Proactively conduct evaluations in all sites to assess risk, effectiveness of controls and to implement changes as needed to improve the overall effectiveness of processes, training, visual tools, and equipment. Participate in incident investigations; ensure complete and accurate incident documentation and reporting Participate in new process reviews, including job hazard analysis, new process training, etc. Analyze safety and health data, develop metrics, and create and distribute reports for leadership. Develop insights for establishing best practices and drive continuous improvement. Generate and maintain required reports; research injury reports for trends and necessary modifications to controls, including personal protective equipment. influence an interdependent EHS culture at your sites as the knowledge/technical expert. Engage internal and external stakeholders (e.g., government agencies, industry and professional groups). Grow your own career through continuous development of expertise and leadership skills. Apply domain knowledge in support of site(s) EHS culture. Leverage data and reporting to maintain required compliance and identify opportunities to improve performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, physical sciences, environmental, engineering, or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 7 years of environmental, health and safety experience.
  • 3 years of experience leading people.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of the supply chain and logistics industry.
  • Proficiency in local, state, and federal EHS-related rules and regulations, and experience with permitting and compliance assurance.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive cultural change around EHS.
  • Knowledge in business and financial acumen.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, EHS software, and reporting systems.
  • Basics of lean principles.
  • Experience in working with regulatory partners.
  • Must possess a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or passport to comply with federal travel regulations.
  • Familiarity and ability to comply with TSA security procedures.
  • Ability to travel domestically via road, rail and air as required for the role and pursuant to Company travel and expense requirements.
