Job Summary APAC Asheville is looking for an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Intern. You will have the opportunity to apply your classroom-learned skills to assist the EHS team to ensure safety and health work standards and methodologies are communicated and targeted goals are achieved through individual as well as team-based objectives and strategies. This position is expected to start onsite around end May 2026 and continue through the entire summer term (i.e. through August 2025). We ask for a minimum of 8 weeks, full-time, onsite for most internships.

Requirements

  • Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures.
  • Strict adherence to Company policies and procedures as outlined in the Company Book of Policies.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other computing skills.
  • Strong analytical, data management skills.
  • Ability to write and communicate technical information clearly and concisely.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with developing, managing, and implementing all safety and environmental programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety-related regulations.
  • Updating and maintaining EHS documentation to support standardization.
  • Assist with conducting risk assessments and evaluates risk management information to identify potential safety and environmental hazards, impacts, then identifies and recommends corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support EHS team with site visits, including documentation, observations, and follow-ups on safety initiatives.
  • Contribute to special projects that address business priorities or improve safety and environmental standards.
  • Analyze and organize data to show trends and help prioritize focus areas that will make the biggest impact to the business.
