Location: Staunton, VA - In-Office Your Responsibilities: Work in compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws Perform compliance reviews, general risk assessments, JSA and other safety assessments to support EHS program Develop controls for identified hazards, coordinate the implantation of controls from the result of hazard assessment Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of corrective and preventive measures, policies, and procedures and recommend changes that reflect improved opportunities to eliminate workplace accidents and injuries Maintain relevant EHS logs and documentation assuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.) Conduct regular safety and environmental inspections and audits of facilities and equipment to identify and address hazards and risks Communicate EHS programs, policies, and procedures as needed, providing advice and assistance to managers, supervisors, and employees to ensure that all EHS programs are implemented and effective Conduct new employee orientation training Ensure that contractors/vendors working on site are in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations Prepare EHS reports and presentations Support supervisors and managers in incident investigations and root cause analysis Track, trend, and report identified KPIs to site/corporate leadership Analyze EHS data, trends, and metrics to identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions Maintain EMS (ISO 14001) and SMS (ISO 45001) document control and systems Drive Daikin’s goal of zero (accidents, emissions, etc.) Maintain up-to-date knowledge of EHS regulations, standards, and best practices Perform other related duties as assigned Your Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety or related field; or equivalent experience 4-6 years of experience Your Benefits: Daikin Applied offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: Multiple medical insurance plan options + dental and vision insurance 401K retirement plan with employer match Paid time off and company paid holidays Paid sick time in accordance with the federal, state and local law Tuition Reimbursement after 6 months of continuous service Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position. The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $80,400 to $136,800 + 10% bonus eligibility in VA. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety or related field; or equivalent experience
  • 4-6 years of experience

Responsibilities

  • Work in compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws
