About The Position

Under the direction of the Senior Facilities, Automation and Maintenance Manager and partnering with the HR Manager, will provide health, safety and environmental support and guidance throughout all activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of safety compliance experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in interpreting and enforcing OSHA regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, and well developed observational and analytical skills.
  • Success in leading and influencing people, in addition to developing strong relationships across all levels and functions.
  • Drives Performance: Holds self and others accountable for the achievement of performance expectations. Creates an environment that enables others to perform at their best.
  • Acts Decisively: Makes and acts on decisions quickly and effectively and fosters the same in others. This is based on an underlying courage to enable risk-taking for the business.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in manufacturing or electronics industry preferred.
  • Industrial Hygiene and Behavior-Based Safety culture experience.
  • CPR or EMT certified preferred.
  • OSHA certified preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with local regulatory HSE requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with contract HSE requirements.
  • Assists in the development and delivery of Operational Processes safely.
  • Enforces company policies and procedures.
  • Assists teams to deliver an exemplary HSE performance.
  • Performance Measurement
  • Identifies potential and actual areas of improvement and assists in setting and formulating goals and tools for their achievement.
  • Provides input to leading and lagging HSE performance measures.
  • Liaises with all stakeholders to be aware and educate the workforce on HSE news & updates.
  • Lessons Learnt
  • Provides input to the collection of Lessons Learnt for all activities.
  • Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment.
  • Assists teams in identifying hazards, assessing risks, and identifying relevant controls to manage and reduce these risks to ALARP.
  • Fosters a safe culture by being informed, mindful, learning, fair and respectful.
  • Perform audits to measure the level of safety culture.
  • Carries out or facilitates safety audits and inspections as per audit plan.
  • Provides HSE input to HSE Management System Reviews.
  • Ensures Incidents are recorded & reported.
  • Prepares initial incident reports.
  • Carries out immediate Incident & Near Miss investigation.
  • Facilitates & participates in High-Level Incident investigations.
  • Ensures that the company safety expectations are communicated to the workforce.
  • Provides training sessions as per Training Plan & Competency development requirements.

  • Manages contractor and consultants in all aspects of health and safety.
