About The Position

MOBIS North America electrified Powertrain LLC (MNAe) is a Tier 1 supplier of Battery System Assembly (BSA)and Power Electric (PE) systems, which are vital parts to produce Hyundai/Kia electric vehicles, based on state-of-art manufacturing technology related to battery system assembly. Our Environmental Health and Safety Department is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Assistant Manager to join our team in Ellabell, Georgia. In this role, you will support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of EHS programs across the facility. You will collaborate closely with cross functional teams to ensure compliance, strengthen safety culture, and drive proactive risk-reduction initiatives.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Environmental Health & Safety within manufacturing or industrial operations
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance requirements
  • Experience conducting safety audits, incident investigations, and training
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across teams
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in automotive or high-volume manufacturing environments
  • Professional certifications such as OSHA 30, ASP, CSP, CHMM, or equivalent
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems
  • Experience supporting emergency response programs or safety committees
  • CPR/First Aid/AED certification
  • Ability to support on-call emergency situations at any time of day or night
  • Relevant EHS certifications preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Assist in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action development.
  • Lead or support EHS training programs, including onboarding, annual compliance training, and emergency response drills.
  • Maintain accurate EHS documentation, reporting, and recordkeeping in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with production, maintenance, and leadership teams to promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Support environmental compliance activities, including waste management, air/water permits, and sustainability initiatives.
